Jane Grey was the great niece and became the Queen of England for nine days after Edward VI was convinced by the duke of northumberlandto name her as his heir in place of his sisters.

After Edward died she obtained the throne and was recognized by the council.

Once she became queen Mary I supporters were angered because of this and rallied to make her Queen in place of Jane.

After only 9 days of being Queen Jane was put in the tower because her father and husband campaigned against sir Thomas Wyatt.

A year later she along with her father and her husband were executed in the tower of London.
